All proceeds from this release will support The Marigold Project, Rateliff’s foundation dedicated to economic, social and racial justice. The Marigold Project is proud to support Farm Aid and StrongHearts Native Helpline with this release. 

Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp organized the first Farm Aid concert in 1985 to raise awareness about the loss of family farms and to raise funds to keep farm families on the land. Dave Matthews joined the Farm Aid Board of Directors in 2001. Farm Aid is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to keep family farmers on the land.

StrongHearts Native Helpline began in 2012 when the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center and the National Domestic Violence Hotline began discussing the need for a domestic violence hotline to support tribal communities across the United States. More than 4 in 5 American Indian and Alaska Native women have experienced violence, and more than 1 in 2 have experienced sexual violence.

StrongHearts is a culturally-appropriate, anonymous, confidential service dedicated to serving Native American survivors of domestic violence and concerned family members and friends. “We are honored to be chosen as a beneficiary of this special project,” said StrongHearts executive director Lori Jump.
